You’ve got everything you need here to create a relaxed, mid-length dress with a softly shirred bodice that slips on with ease and feels as good as it looks. Made in Liberty Tana Lawn, it’s cool, breathable and beautifully smooth against the skin, ideal for warm weather, holidays and easy everyday dressing.
Shirring is a simple, satisfying technique, using elastic thread to create gentle gathers that form a flexible, comfortable fit without any fastenings. You can choose how to finish your straps too - go for delicate rouleau ties for a lighter look, or opt for wider straps if you’d prefer a little more coverage. However you make it, the result is an easy, throw-on piece that works just as well dressed up as it does layered casually. And when you fancy a change, it can be worn as a long skirt too, making it a brilliant multi-tasker to pack for holidays.

Sizing: The shirred bodice allows for a flexible fit across a wide range of sizes, comfortably fitting up to approximately a 140-145cm bust. The finished dress has a maximum length of around 110cm, measured from the top of the bodice. If you would like to adjust the length or make a more bespoke version, just let us know.
Ability: Suitable for all sewing abilities - a lovely introduction to shirring and a quick, rewarding make.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition.
