Light, easy and made for sunshine, this Indian Block Print Shirred Dress Kit for women is a joyful make with a relaxed, wearable feel. You’ve got everything you need here to create a mid-length dress with a softly shirred bodice and adjustable straps, designed to slip on effortlessly and move with you. Made in breathable, hand-printed cotton, it gathers beautifully when shirred, giving a comfortable fit with just the right amount of structure while still feeling light and airy to wear.
Shirring is a simple, satisfying technique, using elastic thread to create gentle gathers without the need for fastenings. You can choose how to finish your straps too - delicate rouleau ties for a lighter look, or wider straps if you’d prefer a little more coverage. It’s an easy piece to dress up or down, and when you fancy a change, it can be worn as a long skirt too. A brilliant, versatile option for holidays, warm days and relaxed summer dressing.
Printed by hand using traditional techniques, each length of fabric carries its own subtle variations in colour and pattern. These gentle irregularities are part of the charm of block printed cloth and not considered flaws, we think they make each dress feel even more special.

- Simple to follow, and well illustrated instructions.
Sizing: The shirred bodice allows for a flexible fit across a wide range of sizes, comfortably fitting up to approximately a 118-120cm bust. The finished dress has a maximum length of around 110cm, measured from the top of the bodice. If you would like to adjust the length or make a more bespoke version, just let us know.
Ability: Suitable for all sewing abilities - a lovely introduction to shirring and a quick, rewarding make.

If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition.
