Looking for an easy, wearable blouse you’ll reach for all summer long? The Almost Shirt by Maison Fauve is just that. Inspired by classic men’s shirting, it features cuffed sleeve hems, a straight cut and a soft collar, all brought together with thoughtful shaping and gentle darts. The result is a blouse that feels relaxed yet refined, with just enough detail to make it quietly special.
The beauty of this pattern lies in its versatility. Sew it with the collar for a timeless, shirt-inspired look, or leave it off for a clean, modern finish. The proportions are carefully balanced, making it easy to style tucked in or worn loose, and it’s a lovely project for building confidence with more considered garment techniques.
Sizing: EU 34–52. Drafted for a height of 165cm (5’5”). Please refer to the finished garment measurements in the product images to help you choose your size.
Fabric Requirements (140cm wide):
34–44: 100cm
46–50: 120cm
52: 140cm
You will also need:
- 5 buttons (approximately 10–12mm)
- 70cm fusible interfacing
Suggested Fabrics: Soft, lightweight fabrics (70–200gsm) that press well, such as cotton poplin, voile, crepe, twill, lightweight denim or chambray. Suitable fibres include cotton, viscose, linen, Tencel™ or silk.
Ability: Intermediate. Techniques include attaching a flat collar, finishing the neckline with facings, setting in sleeves (with a 3-piece sleeve for ease), sewing cuff turn-ups and working bust darts.

Returns
If you change your mind about an item or have received the incorrect item then we offer a very straightforward return policy. You may return unwanted goods up to 28 days after purchase for exchange, a store credit, or a refund.
Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold with original packaging and any tags intact. Goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition and remain in a re-saleable condition. Non-returnable items include kits once they have been cut, cut lengths of fabric, ribbons or trim, samples, sale items, and ex-demonstration items.
