Belle Épine is a charming boho-style top with a decidedly summery feel. Delicate and ultra-feminine, it stands out with its radiating bust darts, a V-neckline at the front and back (cut to allow for bra wear), elegant tie straps, and a shaped, gathered ruffle. The pattern is fully lined, with the inner layer featuring classic bust darts for structure.
A non-lined version is also possible, thanks to facing pieces for the neckline... A perfect companion for hot summer days, the pattern offers multiple variations: with or without a ruffle, with or without lining, allowing you to create your ideal version. This sewing pattern is easy to make, with beautiful finishes - in short, simply irresistible!
Suggested Fabrics: Light weight fabrics (80 to 200 g/m2) with more or less hold depending on the desired effect on the ruffles. Your fabric must mark well with the iron and not deform too much: viscose, tencel, cotton, crepe, poplin, satin, or twill. Openwork fabrics such as lace are also interesting because the pattern provides for a lining.
Fabric Requirements: For a width of 140 cm.
Upper Top with ruffle: 34-42: 100 cm, 44-50: 110 cm, 52: 120 cm
Upper Top without ruffle: 34-36: 65 cm, 38-44: 80 cm, 46-50: 100 cm, 52: 115 cm
Under Top: 34-48: 60cm, 50: 80 cm, 52: 100 cm
You will also need:
- Iron on interfacing 35cm
Sizing: 34 to 52, for a height of 1m65. The size chart of the finished garment is available in the product photos.
Ability: Beginner, the technical aspects are sewing bust darts, making gathers, sewing French seams.
