This is a lovely medium weight cloth ideal for all seasons. The fabric itself is very drapey, and the touch of the fabric is soft and refreshing. The fabric is a Tencel and linen blend which is cross weaved and sand washed creating a slight linen slub pattern on the fabric. The fabric has the soft drapeyness from the Tencel fibre and durability and breathability from the linen fibre. The more you wash this fabric, the more soft it will be!
Fabric Content: 70% TENCEL™ Lyocell and 30% Linen
Fabric Width: 145cm
Fabric Weight: 180 g/m2
Wash & Care: 30 deg, low iron, no tumble drying.
Shrinkage: 1-3%
Interesting fabric facts:
TENCEL™ is a registered trade mark from the company Lenzing. It is a fabric made from wood pulp and produced with a recyclable non-toxic dissolving agent.
The Tencel raw material comes from a certified beech wood farm in Austria, it is created from an innovative wood-based cellulose fibre process that creates highly soft and beautiful fibres. Using closed-loop production, reusing 99.8% of the solvents and dyes. The end product is biodegradable and compostable. All these factors create ideal, eco-friendly fabrics.
Additional benefits:
This fabric is good for people’s health, as the Linen Tencel fibre has proof of anti-dust and antibacterial properties! The natural antibacterial properties rate of linen and Tencel can reach 90%, even after washing more than 30 times. Low dust absorption rate, more resistant to dirt than ordinary fabrics.
The high strength of linen and the flexibility of Tencel complement each other, so that the fabric has better abrasion resistance, and at the same time has the softness and drape of Tencel, and it has no pilling balls.
Thanks to the natural temperature regulation performance of Tencel and linen, it has excellent breathability, keeping the skin in the most comfortable, dry and breathable state at all times.
It absorbs the excellent anti-ultraviolet function of linen fibre, which is light and thin but can provide good sun protection.
In the textile processing process, almost no chemical derivatives are produced or emitted, so is completely harmless to the human body and has zero pollution to the environment.
