Join us for a fantastic knitting workshop where you’ll create your very own Bella Beanie – a snug, stylish winter hat designed by Rebecca Miles of Made in Winchester. Perfect for intermediate knitters, this project is worked in the round and features a flowing cable and slip stitch pattern with a beautifully gathered crown.
Guided by an experienced tutor, you'll learn how to knit in the round from the bottom up, starting with a ribbed brim, moving into textured stitches, and finishing with double pointed needles for the crown shaping. It's a fun, satisfying make that you’ll want to knit again and again.
The pattern will be purchased for you via Ravelry in-store sales service.Skills: Ideal for intermediate knitters who are comfortable knitting in the round and following stitch patterns.
Materials needed:
The pattern is included in the workshop. You’ll need to bring the following items with you, or you can purchase them on the day from Clothkits:
- 1 ball of West Yorkshire Spinners Fable Brushed Aran (100g)
- 4.5mm (40cm) circular needle
- 5.5mm (40cm) circular needle
- Set of five 5.5mm double pointed needles
About your Teacher: Susan, known locally as the Knitting Guru, has a wealth of knitting experience spanning decades. At the age of 5, Susan started her knitting journey with the love and guidance of her beloved grandmother. By the time she was 17 she had been chosen to knit for Jeff Banks and in the mid eighties many of her creations were shown on BBC's The Clothes Show. More recently Susan helps and guides many keen knitters to develop their knitting skills, offering one 2 one tuition in and around Chichester.

Venue: The workshop is held in our modern and vibrant studio at the Clothkits shop. We are located in central Chichester, about a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station. The closest car park is The Cattle Market.
