    Description

Pilar is the jacket we have been dreaming of at Maison Fauve: a lovely straight cut, not too wide nor too short with a topstitched finish. However we are relentless and we couldn't give you this beautiful pattern without our signature details: stitched darts on the front of the jacket, and the possibility of sewing a beautiful back with an inverted pleat to switch up an iconic denim piece.

Suggested Fabrics: A denim fabric goes without saying, but also a mid weight woollen fabric, a beautiful jacquard, gabardine, around 350 g/m2

Fabric Requirements: For a width of 140 cm.

    6 to 10 (34 to 38): 150cm
    12 to 16 (40 to 44): 165cm
    18 to 20 (6 to 48): 180cm
    22 to 24 (50 to 52): 190cm

    You will also need:

    • 11 x buttons from 15 to 20mm. You can choose "real" denim jacket buttons but also covered buttons, buttons with holes, etc.

    • If you use a fabric other than denim, which is lighter then you will need fusible interfacing for one of the collar parts, facings, 2 x flaps, half of the cuffs and the waistband.

    Sizing: UK size 6 to 24 (34 to 52)

Please see the FIND YOUR SIZE tab for more information.

Ability: Advanced, the technical aspects are the assembly of the collar, the making the fold, the precision of the darts stitched on the right side of the garment and the topstitching.
